Anne Butterly named Repak Green Business Person of the Month

We’re thrilled to share fantastic news with our Easydry community! Our Founder & CEO, Anne Butterly, has been awarded Repak Green Business Person of the Month on Newstalk’s Business Breakfast with Joe Lynam.

This award celebrates Irish business leaders who are taking real action on sustainability. For us, it’s extra special to see Anne recognised — not just this month, but for her dedication over the past 20 years.

Leading the Change with Easydry

Anne founded Easydry in 2003 with a clear mission: to create a smarter, greener choice for salons and businesses. In 2005, she introduced the world’s first fully compostable, single-use towel. This idea transformed how salons operate, cutting waste, energy, and laundry costs.

Since then, Easydry has grown into a global success story. Today, our products are used in over 25 countries. They’ve helped save more than 11.7 billion litres of water worldwide. That’s millions of litres saved every year — all by making one small switch.

More Than an Award

Anne’s leadership has always focused on doing the right thing for people and the planet. In 2022, Easydry became the first disposable towel company in the world to achieve B Corp Certification. 

Over the years, Anne and Easydry have earned several awards for sustainability and innovation. Just last month, Easydry won the Green Technology Award at the Green Awards — our second win in this category. These awards recognise that Easydry’s products deliver real results while helping businesses cut their environmental impact.

Anne’s work supports key UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Climate Action (SDG 13).
