From Local to Global: Anne Butterly Inspires at Women in Business NI & Network Ireland Event

The shared journey of female entrepreneurs is a testament to resilience, ambition, and innovation. On this path, communities and networks play a key role in providing support and inspiration. Anne Butterly, Founder and CEO of Easydry, is a leading champion of female entrepreneurship. Her recent participation at a Dundalk event, organized by Women in Business NI, highlights her dedication to empowering women in the business world.

A Collaborative Effort to Foster Female Entrepreneurship

The event was led by Women in Business NI and Network Ireland. It is part of the Shared Island initiative and supported by InterTradeIreland. This collaboration has a bold mission: to equip women in Northern Ireland with the skills to succeed. They aim to help women start and grow businesses or advance into leadership roles.

Women in Business NI is Northern Ireland’s leading network for women in the workplace, with over 10,000 members. Their vision is to build a new economy where women make significant contributions to society and economic success. The group offers professional development programmes, personal growth webinars, networking events, and conferences.

Shared Island Enterprise Scheme: Empowering Female Entrepreneurs

The event also supports the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme. In February 2024, the Irish Government announced €800 million in funding for Shared Island priorities. Of this, €30 million is allocated to fostering female entrepreneurship across the island. InterTradeIreland, Enterprise Ireland, and Invest Northern Ireland are leading this initiative.

Anne Butterly: Inspiring the Next Generation

Anne Butterly brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to the event. As the Founder and CEO of Easydry, a global leader in sustainable drying solutions, Anne shared her journey and gave insight to Easydry’s B Corp Certification Journey. Easydry now exports to over 25 countries, including Australia, the US, and the Middle East.

The event in Dundalk was held at the inspiring Creative Spark space. It brought together 32 entrepreneurs—16 from Northern Ireland and 16 from Ireland. Anne joined a fireside chat with Mailo Power from Monkey Reusable Products and Edward Rourke, a Consultant in Exporting. During the discussion, Anne provided practical advice for early-stage entrepreneurs. She also shared insights into overcoming challenges, celebrating key wins, and scaling a business. Her words resonated with the audience and offered actionable tips.

This wasn’t Anne’s first time supporting Women in Business NI. In 2023, she was a key speaker at the All-Island Entrepreneurs Conference. This event was held at the iconic Slieve Donard venue.

Looking Ahead A Anne Butterly
